70s Asymmetric in the collection

So, the back story on this board is that I bought it sometime around 2001, while I was living in San Diego, working at Channin. I bought it for $40 in a thrift shop in El Cajon, with the fin broken off, and pretty beat. I never thought I was scoring some lost gem worth a billion dollars. I just liked the look of it, and tripped on the asymmetric tail.

I took it to work (Channin) and asked the older crew there, and they didn't know the shaper, and suggested sticking a fin box in it, and having some fun, which I duly did. It's fun, FAST, but a little unforgiving. I took it to the Bahamas when I left the US in 2002-3, and it sat in my parents attic/shed/yard for years until I decided to bring it back with me to Santa Cruz. It is now cooling off in my shaping room, and going to get the attention is needs. Which, is a full resto at this point.

I was sharing it with a few of the older guys here, and they all agree it is a legit 70s shape, from a known shaper, judging by the foil, rocker and rails. But, still no one knows who the shaper is....

Will the real GA please stand up!?

...sometimes a full restoration is not so cool, besides collectible thingy.
You know, if you gloss it, you need to sand the old gloss and some of the hot coat, add weight more resin less flex
If you need to do all the glass...that way any subtle in the shape will be lost
you should re final sand the shape...not good.
Good for wall hanger but in most cases, not so good for a real rider.
